AAA El Cajon Insurance and Member Services

This review relates to a specific employee of the El Cajon AAA office on Jamacha Rd- Rachel. We went to do a transfer of ownership on two cars at this office, which went well enough, but when we asked for assistance in adjusting our auto insurance that’s when things went bad. Rachel was clearly not very busy but took her sweet time calling the next customer, even suggesting that we just call the AAA 800 number instead of dealing with her, even though we were right there in the office! She then stated that there “wasn’t much difference in insurance cost” by dropping our (sold) 2022 Nissan Pathfinder and adding a 2004 Chevy Tahoe! Skip the DMV and do your plate service here. I was told this place can be very busy and with long waits. But we were lucky when we came with only one person ahead of us. The check in lady was super knowledgeable and efficient. She understood what we needed, got us the right forms. Send us to Adam to finalize our paperwork, Adam is the nicest person and fast too. We got our paperwork don’t in less than 10 minutes. Thank you Adam. Top that DMV!!

I give 1 star not to AAA but to this employee named: BADUR he didn't insure my new 2026 vehicle. I am a customer and a member with AAA for 11 years. Don't have any tickets or accidents on my record. He asked me if I would drive my car for Uber I said I'm not sure but why not. And that's the reason why he did not insure my car because he said he would get in trouble and he called the manager and tried to put notes on my account which he was basically not working on my side. He refuse to insure my vehicle.

Always crowded. Long wait. Yani is a good travel agent in this Jamacha Road, El Cajon, Ca branch. Clean office. Limited seats in the waiting area. Parking is usually a problem.

AAA has the WORST customer service!! If I could give them a zero rating, I would. They never answer the phone, and if you go in there in person, they give you the runaround. Nobody could help me with my issue after 5 visits to a branch office and 5 phone calls to the toll free number! Every time I asked to speak to a supervisor on the phone, I was told they were "busy," and I would receive a call back in 48-72 hours... After being on hold for 45 minutes! Needless to say, I never received a call back. My issue still isn't resolved and after more than 25 years with them, it's time to move on.
