I hardly ever leave reviews. This time, I feel that it's necessary. After a few increases in my auto premiums I started shopping for new insurance. No accidents, no tickets, 1 car, 1 driver. Almost $120? WITH a bundled discount. Sent an email to William Wentz on 1/30/2024 and asked to have my policy canceled as I had found an equally reputable company at a much more reasonable rate. I received no response, I assumed that if they needed more information they would reach out. They didn't. 2/1 I reached out yet again...was told to email Melissa, so I did on 2/1. She assured me around 445 on 2/1 that my policy would be canceled and I wouldn't be charged. Now, let's fast forward... 2/7 - I check my bank account and what did I see? A charge.for my homeowners insurance. I reached out today 2/

Have been a customer for years and never called.Tried to speak to my actual agent about an issue I was having and left numerous messages with no call from him. His staff called back and "said" they would leave him a message and here we are about a year later and I'm still waiting to talk to him. There really should be a 0 stars option. 0 stars. Do not recommend.

Thorough, responsive and ensure all your concerns have been met before the phone call is over. I can’t speak to the other reviewers experience, but in the time I have worked with William Wentz and his agency I had not experienced that. I am a current policy holder with Allstate and asked them to review the pricing for my policy that I held with a different agency. They reviewed the policy found areas that would help decrease my rates. In my experience, having switched from Geico to Allstate 6 years ago (saving me $900/yr) it’s up to the policy holder to check in and see if the rates can be decreased. It is evident that some individuals lack the maturity to handle minor inconveniences without resorting to petulant behavior. In particular, I find the recent review from Lauren to be utterly baseless. While everyone can empathize with financial constraints, it is unreasonable to penalize an entire establishment for issues that are beyond their control. The decision to downgrade a business's reputation to a single star simply because of a routine policy renewal increase is not only irrational but also unfair.
