I have had multiple insurance policies with State Farm over many years and generally had positive experiences. I usually purchase annual policies and pay in full to keep things simple. This year, I sold a property and believed the rental dwelling policy ended in May 2025 unless renewed. In August, I received a notice for a past-due balance of $104. When I called my local office, the representative confirmed in writing that no balance existed. A month later, I was again told I owed the balance due to a “grace period” of coverage after my policy term ended.
