Until I met Jay, I’d always felt insurance was a necessary evil and that was about it; grumbling every time I paid premiums. But Jay does a great job of explaining his insurance products, so you always walk away from the table comfortable with your choices and that you are actually getting the coverage you are paying for. He is practical in his approach and I’ve never felt like he was trying to “up sell” me something I didn’t need. Unfortunately we had substantial damage to our home during the derecho. Jay and Grinnell Mutual took awesome care of us, making an already stressful situation go as smoothly as possible. They were very responsive and easy to work with through the claim process. Our insurance adjuster was great and Jay stopped by to check on us several times after the storm
