Tom Davis - State Farm Insurance Agent

Purchased homeowners insurance for my mortgage with Tom Davis - State Farm Insurance based on the recommendations of my parents - who also have a property insured by Tom Davis. I have learned since that they filed a claim with Tom Davis and were treated very differently. I also decided to go with a local agent because I wanted to support someone locally. The process of getting the insurance was simple and easy. First claim was a disaster and I have record of the claim even being altered once the information was uploaded accurately by me - which is technically insurance fraud or just plain fraud. I was never compensated for the claim because I was not advised appropriately or adequately by the claims specialist. When I needed to file a claim a second time is when the wheels started to fall

Tom is great and has a good team. However, state farm as a whole is not there for you like they should be when you need it most. I had a tornado pass over my house 2 years ago and the whole experience dealing with state farm has left a terrible taste in my mouth. I've been waiting for them to do the right thing, but instead I get crickets. No one is responding to my requests. Every window is my house had the seals fault due to the pressure of the storm. I cleaned every window seal from water. every window whistled and popped as my family and I hid in the closet clinging in fear to each other. I told the guy who came to audit and he made note but his eye test I guess was good enough to decline my claim. I have received excellent customer service and prompt responses to all of the questions that I have had. When we have had accidents in the past, the claims process was quick and painless. I do believe that State Farm is priced higher than most insurance companies, but I believe that I get what I pay for. I can pick up the phone and speak to an agent at any time of the day. Would recommend!

Never in the office. When I started my policy with State Farm, I got an agent with one foot out the door who screwed up literally everything she possible could before disappearing. You would think State Farm would see all of her clients and let them know they are being reassigned right? Wrong, I had to investigate myself and found out that my new agent was Tom Davis. Tried to communicate with Mr. Tom, instead the only person who did anything for me was a Mr. Roady, who I felt really sorry for because it seemed like he caught all of the responsibility with everyone else. Long story short, my insurance still isn't fixed, I can't get ahold of anyone, and I have gotten to talk to Tom on one occasion and he promised to send me some stuff and has since disappeared.
