Texas Farm Bureau Insurance - Richard Watkins

I have been a customer for 20 years and after rates almost doubling for auto and homeowners I have cancelled both policies. First canceled homeowners and they still took payment from my account. Took a month to get the money back. Recently cancelled auto after finding coverage for over $200 less and again they still took a payment from my account and it will be weeks before I get that returned to me.

Have been a customer for ten years because of little lower rates, last two years they have been messing up on my payments and cancelling my insurance then making us pay $400 to reinstate it. This time I asked for an extension untill march 18 to pay, paid most on 12th and rest online on march 14th, the online payment got lost in their system untill the 25th so they cancelled my insurance and said they think I paid on 25th even though I gave them the reference number for that payment, since they cancelled and I had paid for April insurance I asked for a refund for April and they had a fit and said all I get refunded is $18, contacting insurance board and better business bureau and attorney general, bunch of crooks and liars, then accuse longtime customer of lying, my wife has been using them

Don't waste you time with Farm Bureau. I've been a customer for 20 years and I recently got a quote to add another car. WIthout my permission they added the car. When I received a bill for the extra car, I went down and told them to remove that car from my policy and cancel the rest of my existing policy. They did and then sent me anther bill. After three months, they sent me 1/3 of what they owed me. When I called to see what was up, they said the other 2/3 is going to cover the charge I recieved, in the mail. This is why I am leaving Farm Bureau.

Hopkins Rains County Farm Bureau is extremely helpful with quotes and provide quick turn around. They are also very supportive in the community. Love them!
