Smith Insurance Group

I wish I could recommend this company but as I sit here and write this review I know that recommending them would do more harm to businesses or people looking for personal lines of insurance. I wish I had done my homework prior to contacting them and bringing all of my business lines of insurance over to them. They severely dropped the ball on my business insurance policies and I was forced to move all of my policies to a new company. Please be very aware before using this agency they are out for the money they make off of your policies and not for you and your best insurance interests!

Do not use Smith Insurance. Like many others, Cathie dropped the ball (ignored my requests) several times over the years, but none so bad as this last. I moved, and exercised diligence in letting them know ahead of time. I filed with them April 29 for a May 9th closing date. I sent them the cancellation form they asked me to fill out and received word from Cathie herself that they had what they needed. I received an email from the actual Insurance carrier on May 3rd, but was assured by Cathie it was an automated email, and I had nothing to worry about. I even stated I did not want to have to deal with this after I sold. Here we are in August, and I received a note from the Insurance company of non-payment. it seems Cathie never bothered cancelling the policy, despite the fact I no long

I also had a horrible experience with Cathie Smith. I received a non renewal notice from my insurance company, Cathie told me not to worry just get a 4 point inspection and the company would reinstate my policy. I got the inspection and provided it to her, however she dropped the ball and never submitted it. Needless to say my policy was canceled. Now the only insurance I can get is citizens due to lapse of policy. I would recommend you think twice before using this company.

I just switched from this agency. I had to beg them to do their job. No follow through. I should have switched years ago.

Alexis at Smith Insurance Group has been SO helpful in finding me the best insurance for my property. She has always been responsive, and has given me straight answers to tough questions. I have extreme confidence in her, and her agency. In order to obtain the best insurance, you must work with an insurance broker, not a captive agent. I highly recommend Alexis and Smith Insurance Group!
