Simply Business

I thought this place was going to be good but no. I got everything done then I needed to change my DBA so I’ve called and emailed these past couple days and have heard absolutely nothing which is bs. The automated voice on call said they are experiencing longer than normal wait times and won’t be available tell 7 days. This is bs and I’m tired of it especially as a new business owner. I would not recommend this place at all. Horrible bottom grade customer service and it’s a headache especially when you need stuff done away. I’m switching policy holders because this place sucks

I needed some cheap Handyman insurance and they got it done within 2 hrs. There was a new person writing my policy who keep making mistakes so they ran my card 3 times bf they got it right. Oh my patience was tested. I got a good bargain for a low price. Other than that I’m happy. Would have given 5 stars but I can’t with the clerical issues.

I searched around for general liability insurance for my sole proprietor handyman service. I’ve never filed an insurance claim and I don’t make much money. I only need the insurance as a requirement for my contractor license. Yet, everyone quoted me too much! Except Simply Business. Very reasonable!

If you want to cancel your policy you cant do it online and "live agent" feature is not really functioning, it's just a chatbot. Getting a call back takes a lot of time. Although the agent who called me resolved the issue seamless, (thanks!), the process should not be this difficult.

If you move forward with Simply Business just be aware that they don't have an accesible online customer portal, and all correspondence and policy/account management has to go through the phone, which is 100% of the time experiencing higher than normal call volume. This broker has cheaper fees because they simply sell the illusion of having coverage without actually providing coverage. Other than that, they are quick to sign you up and have lower than the average premiums.
