I was there for a DL REAL ID renewal: Arrived at 7:30 AM — about 25 people were already in line; by 8 AM, another 25 had joined. • Around 7:55 AM, a staff member came out to check who had 8 AM appointments and whether they had their completed application code. • If you don’t have the application completion confirmation code, they ask you to scan a QR code and complete it (you can also do it inside, but that slows things down). • We were let inside 5 minutes before 8, the code was verified, my phone number was taken, and a queue number was sent to my phone and shown on the screen. • I was called to the counter at 8:15 AM. • The process was smooth and efficient. • I was told it may take up to 3 months for document verification and for the card to arrive by mail. • I received a temporary lic

I love this DMV location. They are so nice here. I will go out of my way to come to this location. Every single time I have come here, I have been so blessed. Helen has helped me at least two times that I can remember, and has always been excellent and kind. She has such a beautiful kind smile, as well. The supervisor here which is a tall guy is super kind, as well. Everyone working here has been so kind every single time that I have been here and that I have brought family here. Thank you for doing an excellent job to everyone here.

Excellent Service at San Clemente DMV I visited the San Clemente DMV to get a Real ID for my wife, and we were helped by Halen. She was extremely helpful, patient, and professional throughout the entire process. She explained everything clearly and made what is usually a stressful DMV visit smooth and easy. Her positive attitude and great customer service really stood out. Thank you, Halen, for such an excellent experience!

I have never encountered any issues with this DMV, and I’m very grateful for that. However, sometimes the line gets longer in the afternoon, and it can take up to an hour and a half to reach the front desk. Despite this, the staff is always super helpful with any issues. Once they assist you, they assign you a number, and the wait after that isn’t too long. You can come after 4 p.m., and the queue usually isn’t too long—about 30 minutes. Yes, they still accept customers as long as you arrive before 5 p.m! The only thing I’d like to see improved is the attitude of the staff. I understand they might be tired, but it's important to treat clients respectfully. We speak politely, and they should do the same.
