My partner transferred her car to me two weeks before she died. I registered the car a week after she died and insured it with Geico. Progressive is too dumb to realize the car is no longer registered with her and kept billing her account. Payment was rejected month after month, but they kept billing her. Now they sent her a $500 bill for those payments! Sorry, but you should have cancelled the policy when it was no longer registered to her and ended any policy after her death.
I wish I could give zero stars. Progressive has shown that they do not care about the customer and their staff does not seem to understand the meaning of good business etiquette. I question their competence at this point. Progressive has offered absolutely no restitution for the hardships they have caused my family leading up to my husband’s military deployment when would normally already scrambling to tie up any loose ends. For over three weeks we have been shuffling around car seats and borrowing cars from friends and family members. They could have offered us a complimentary rental car for our troubles since we have been without a car for over three weeks because their claims adjuster, Joseph just decided he didn’t want to show up to assess our vehicle on the day he was scheduled to b
I have had nothing but problems with progressive billing. The latest is they have claimed that I have a speeding ticket with 2 points. I was out of the country at the time they claim I received a ticket. I've spoken with MVA and the 3rd party company who have confirmed that I have a clean driving record. I have submitted the documentation to progressive twice and called numerous times. They have raised my rates 3 different times for false reasons and have me jumping through hoops to correct these mistakes. There is no compensation for the time and effort I have had to put into fixing their mistakes. They act like I am lying and still don't even apologize when the proof is right in front of them. I am so done with this company. I wish I could give 0 or negative stars.
There was an incident were a person fraudulently filed a claim on my auto insurance. During the time of the incident progressive reached out once I then gave them evidence and a contact for person that will testify on my behalf that the person who filed the claim against my auto insurance was lying. No communication or follow up was made to me to make me aware of the case was still active otherwise I would still have been actively involved. Almost 2 years pass and I get a letter in the mail from progressive saying the case was closed and I got to pay out to the person who filed the claim against my insurance, this is clearly fraud I've communicated that in the past and present it all the evidence. The process overall took some time, but when I came into the office, the person who helped me was quick, professional, and made things easy. Appreciate the smooth experience at pickup even after a stressful situation.
