I am writing to express my deep frustration with the handling of my recent claim. I was involved in a car accident on 11/22/2025 and filed my claim on 11/23/2025. I was assigned a representative, Steven Thompson, but as of today, Thursday 11/26/2025, I have not received any communication from him or anyone else regarding my claim. My understanding was that claims representatives typically reach out within 24 hours of filing, which has not occurred. The other driver has already admitted fault, which is documented in the police report, yet I still have no updates. I am currently driving a damaged vehicle because I have not been advised on next steps—such as where to take my car for repairs or how to obtain a rental. Never use progressive. My closing attorney sent the payment for my new homeowner’s policy to my agent’s office instead of progressive. They canceled my policy for non-payment. They then proceeded to deny reinstating my policy. I called the 1800 number and spoke to an underwriter called Joseph. He was extremely unhelpful. I immediately switched my homeowner’s and vehicle policy to a different provider.

They initially quoted me $222/6 mos policy. Well they chard me $222 and 3 mos later charged me $222 again. I called and asked why I was charged $444 and they told me it was a mistake. Then they did it AGAIN. However, this time they went up to $404 after 3 mos. I called them up and complained and canceled my policy immediately. They stated my refund would be sent in 3-5 business days for ACH. I called back after 5 business days, and they told me it was 5-7 business days. I called back after 10 days and they told me it was an error with my card and they were going to send me a check instead. I asked how long it would take to receive the check and they said 10-12 business days. After 3 weeks I called back and they told me they had just issued the check and to expect it in 15 - 20 business day
Had a contract for a motorcycle which is heavily advertised by progressive as being the foremost company dealing with bikes. My deposit was 270 and my monthly payments were 140. I found a much more reasonable company and switched and was charged $200 for switching after only having the policy for 3 days. There's an absolute scam stay away from this predator company.
