Pekin Insurance

My wife was T boned at an intersection where a Pekin insured ran a stop sign. Our Tahoe was completely totaled. They low balled the replacement cost of the vehicle and would not make it right. I never even asked them to cover a rental as my insurance took care of that. Horrible customer service. The employees must be trained to think like robots as I asked for a second opinion from a supervisor and was given a scripted answer on why they couldn’t make it right. Stay away. If you get hit by a Pekin insured be aware.

My grandmother had a policy with Pekin. She paid almost 10 grand for her final expenses. She then moved to Florida, and things changed. She passed on Mother's Day and we are still seeking the payment from these people. They are demanding a document from Illinois stating that this will go to her estate. I have sent them copies of the irrevocable trust, EIN tax number for her estate, and her will. They want me to get this paper from Illinois, which I can not because grandma has not been a resident for over six years. This is a heartless company hiding behind how they are interpreting the words on their papers to twist it, and for them, they will get to keep my grandmothers hard hard-earned money. VILE HEARTLESS WICKED!

Do not trust Pekin as your insurance provider. This company will not provide you any support when you need them most. After nearly 20 years of being a Pekin customer, with zero property or auto claims, I had to call on them to support us through a tornado that struck our home nearly 18 months ago. We have attempted to find local contractors that will complete repairs according to Pekin’s scope of work but none are willing due to the extensive structural damage. Even after hiring a structural engineer to detail the damages Pekin is unwilling to compromise and do the right thing. Adam Moyers at Pekin made an agreement to pay us support to live on our property in a camper we purchased. In December 2022 he broke that agreement and payments stopped. The agent assigned to my claim was awful! (A woman hit my parked car... her insurance not mine). She would not respond to text, email or phone messages. I had to call the main line twice and request to speak to whoever would answer their phone. Fortunately, they were helpful but this had been drawn out for two extra weeks due to her incompetence. I hope I don't have to deal with this company again!

Canceled my insurance through them last week because they jacked their rates up so much and now they have been charging me everyday for the past 2 days. Had to call my bank and lock it because they're are quite literally stealing money from me even though I don't have anything through them as of last week. I tried calling however no one answers the phone nor do they call you back. Had to go to the better business bureau.
