Some claims are processed incorrectly often placing you in a position to carefully compare the insurance EOB, benemax statements along with your what your company states is you copay/coinsurance. Claims are delayed - most processed Monday or Friday but the lag time from when the provider presents you an invoice and your insurance paying to when Benemax tells you what you owe is significant. Their self service portal is poorly designed—not at all consumer friendly and uses terms which Benemax is familiar with but the layman would not be.
After a few months of trying to straighten out the billing department on services we had received, we decided to contact Benemax for assistance. Within a day, an Individual Member Advocate (Nora Jarboe) reviewed the bills that I sent to her, pulled up data on our account to see what was paid and then resolved the issues with the doctor's practice. Amazing!
If I could give this company a zero I would. They were supposed to pay a claim for my surgery through my job two years ago and they did not. I have been in contact with two of their agents over the last year and during this process both agents are no longer with their company. Retention of employees must be an issue! The bill has since been transferred to my credit score and it is impacting my life in a very negative way! I am still in the process of trying to fix it and haven't heard anything from them as my case keeps getting dropped due to their retention rate of their employees. I am extremely disappointed.
Waiting 10 days for an answer from customer service is unacceptable as I am Waiting for Benemax to pay a 90 day old claim. Very dissatisfied and disappointed AGAIN
This company is impossible to get in touch with and is causing serious harm to the clients it works with. Nora is great though
