Oceanside Insurance

I was searching for an insurance company that would take me after I was dropped (two claims in 3 years). During my search, I met Linda. She worked tirelessly to help me in my search and explained little known facts and nuances in the home owner's insurance world. I shared my frustration and disappointment in my carrier's action with her. I had been a longtime customer of theirs and payments were consistently on time. She suggested I contact the Maryland Insurance Commissioner (who knew this existed?). I followed her advice and submitted my complaint to the commissioner. That process was painless and it paid off. Unresponsive to emails and phone calls. Had to go with a different company as I needed to get insurance in place for a mortgage on a new condo; sad because I like Safeco but Oceanside did not want my business I guess. Linda even took all of my info at one point (needed a lot more details than the other company fyi) and I never got a response. Sent an email that got one response but then communication stopped. I don't usually write reviews but this was disappointing and a waste of my time. And I feel bad because I also have to leave Safeco and they have been my insurer for over a decade (you need a broker to get a policy with them as far as I can tell)

Linda was extremely rude and insulting, very unprofessional and judgmental. Literally was just trying to get a quote. I would never recommend this company with the way I was spoken to. I work in customer service and know that is not how you treat people if you would like return customers or good word of mouth. Gave one star only because it did not give me an option to leave none. Unbelievable!

Linda has provided great service to us with our collector car insurance. Very helpful and friendly.
