Worst insurance company for Workmen’s Comp. I have ever seen. I never get paid on Time always have to call my lawyer. They’re denying treatment that their own doctor says I need along with my doctor. Nuria McGrath is awful. She never returns any phone calls Not once in 18 months, has she called me back. Just the worst people to deal with
everyone I speak to at this company is extremely rude and impolite. I ended my policy because I’d rather put my money towards a company with better customer service.
I previously gave NYSIF a 1-star review; I'm upgrading it to 4 stars. Why? I now realize that it was more the broker's fault for all my problems, rather than NYSIF itself. Now that I am dealing with NYSIF directly, rather than through a broker, I see that they conduct their due diligence to ensure the Workers' compensation process is smooth for my small business. How could they get five stars? The auditing process is a tedious reality of workers' compensation that requires time and resources every year, as I have to involve my accountants. I wish there were either a credit system or some way to avoid the industry standard yearly audit. I'll have to start my own insurance company someday.
I had a 2006 worker’s comp. case, which I was informed was closed! Well obviously it wasn’t! iMedicare was not notified, which interferes with my medicare benefits, as they too like insurance companies look up information, and reasons to deny your claims! There is a website that list accidents, whether car or work related, in order to deny claims, passing the buck! I have called NYSIF and left messages for the adjuster, he hasn't called back, too busy doing unrelated work! These people don't realize that what evil you sow, will come back to you. I hope it does! They don't care, State employees are the laziest along with NYC employees.
