Nationwide Insurance: James J Kackley

Can someone please tell me why we pay for homeowners insurance? Seems nothing is covered in our policies. Nationwide has had my business since 1978 yet a claim for damage of a major header is not covered. Contractor said damage from western exposure and heat deteriorated the wood, Nationwide saw it differently and said moisture. Wood is dry and powder not wet and mushy. M m m m . . . so who do we trust and believe?
