I’d rate one star if I could. I moved out of state and tried to cancel homeowners and auto policies and they sent me a homeowners cancellation form stating that I lost my policy instead of my choice to cancel my policy, thereby asking me to perjure myself. In addition, they stated I could night not cancel my auto policy until they received a NY DMV plate surrender receipt despite showing proof I register my car in another state with insurance and the tracking number for my plate surrender to NYS DMV. Now I’m paying for two policies on the same car until NYS sends me a plate surrender receipt that could take up to 3-4 weeks. I can’t believe they are that desperate to make commissions. And be aware that Nationwide cannot assist policy holders on any commercial terms of policies written by
