Mike Kleine - State Farm Insurance Agent

Steer clear of State Farm insurance. I have been with them over eight years and paid them over $12,000 in premiums and never even so much have made a phone call to them. Recently on April 1st 2025, when a statewide large wind/hail storm went through I had roof damage and siding damage to my home which led to water coming down into my dining room, much like a lot of other people. I filed a claim and they come out and denied my claim saying that there is no roof damage and said if there was any roof damage, it was prior damage from a previous storm. I did reach out to my local agent, and they were responsive and listen to me, but still have the same outcome. I cannot say enough good things about Kelsey in the office. Our home owners insurance company was pulling out of the state entirely so I was on the hunt for a new policy much to my dismay. I had a lot of mistrust when it comes to being covered properly so naturally I come with 1000 questions to which Kelsey had all the right answers to. Kelsey was patient, calm and extremely knowledge about the policy as a whole. Turns out, I was over insured with my last company and when I balked at that initially, she took the time to explain why, what it was I actually needed, what I would be covered under etc. I didn't feel like she was over selling me on coverage and just trying to get my money, she was factual and really listened to what I wanted so that she could assist in putting the right policy t

Probably the worst experience I have had with insurance next to American Family. I still have not received my check for my cancellation of insurance which has been over 5 weeks now. I also never received any phone calls back when I was told I would get one. All in all Mike and his staff are just very unhelpful and disregard any concerns I had. I didn't feel valued and after I signed on with him for over a year when I would call back in I sometimes felt like a burden with the way the receptionist would answer the phone. I did however appreciate the letter I got either for my birthday or Christmas. They are around the same day so I don't remember the occasion it was for. But that's it.

I have been with Mike Kleine - State Farm Insurance Agent for more than 25 years. My main contact there is Darlene and she is one of the main reasons this agency has had my business for so long. They are friendly, attentive, and very helpful getting you the proper coverage you need. If you need renters insurance, through auto, or property insurance (I had all of these over the years) - call and ask for Darlene. I would expect you'll be as happy as I have been for all these years!

Been a policy holder for 7 years. The one time we have a claim no fault of our own, takes 3 years to get a decision and a ridiculously low offer after that. Highly advise finding another agent other than Mike.
