Midland National Life Insurance Co

My husband had a policy his father started for him as a baby. When his father passed away we had the policy switched over to us. They recently cancelled our policy without any warning . They then said we could continue with the policy if we paid almost 1000.00 and the another 2200.00 per year. This company is a scam. Please do not spend your money here.

This company contacted me today then sent me a bill for planned premium. They were told to deduct payments on the 8th of August they didn't. Why?? Cudtomer representatives do not follow directions when customers calls in but God forbid something happens to me they want to take their money owed off the top. North American Life Insurance follow directions and stop blaming customers for your wrong actions. I will hve my premium paid by due date I was given so please do not contact me on a mistake your organization made.. Mrs J

Both my husband and myself have had Midland Insurance through Sammon Securities for over 15 years. Our agent left Sammon and our file when into the archives, apparently we weren't investing enough to matter to the new representative. Then our automatic payment expired and no one contacted us which was the perfect opportunity for Midland to cancel our life insurance policy. You have 30 days to reinstate so I sent the payment overnight! However they have sat on the check and not cashed it. I would not recommend Midland. The life insurance that I had is gone and we are a lot older now than we were when we initially got it. I feel robbed!

Midland has poor communication practices, and the company does not respond to email. Midland acts as though they are not familiar with my email, that I have used since 1997. Midland also doesn't inform customers, if checks have been received, and they wait until the last minute to inform customers, if payments were not received. I also did not appreciate when I paid in advance, they just refunded my money. Then, they turned around and said I was late with my payments. They do not answer 😒 the phones.

Poor customer service! I had simple questions regarding suspending payments and the consequences it will have on the policy during the government shutdown and customer service would not answer simple those questions because I was not the policy holder. Customer service gave me attitude because I kept pressing for hypothetical answers and he refused to answer them. I would think a person who hears that a client is having hardship during a shutdown would have more empathy but not from this company. If I could give zero stars I would. I will definitely be thinking of another company to give my money to.
