I was a long term customer and have always found the office staff helpful. I recently had an interaction with the owner where he lost his temper and hung up on me after telling me he didn’t care about my business. Maybe he was having a bad day but that just isn’t going to work. I’m a professional who has worked in the financial industry for over two decades. Inexpensive rates are not worth being treated the way John Shields treated me. You can do better by going somewhere else. Gave two stars because they used to be great

RJ Lutes is by far the best insurance broker I've ever heard of. Not only are their people extremely helpful and personable, they get great rates for their customers through Erie Insurance. Every time I've had any sort of issue, from forgetting a payment or having to add a car to getting stranded in Ohio after being hit by a semi-truck, help has always been just a few prompt emails away I've been with them 6 years now, and every year when my renewal comes up I get competing quotes, and every year I conclude that their rates are as good or better than anyone else out there, and the service far exceeds what I'd ever expect elsewhere. I can't recommend them enough!! They're the gold standard of what an insurance broker should be!
