Liberty Mutual Insurance

As long time customer with this company (doing business as) Liberty Mutual and through Farmer’s (when they absorbed them a few years back), I have had the same horrible experience both times. With Liberty back in 2015, my Jeep was t-boned by a US postal truck and they did nothing to try and get my SUV repaired and dragged the process out so long that I was forced to trade the vehicle in as-is with axle damage and go upside down into another vehicle because they stopped funding a loaner vehicle. The adjuster during this horrific ordeal, ignored phone calls and refused to return inquiries about fixing my vehicle like it should have been fixed. Now fast forward to 2025, I was with Farmers because of a corporate discount and my house gets hail damage to the roof during spring Texas storms. I

I reached out for simple car insurance. I have never had a claim in my life, no tickets - nothing. They wanted more details and two weeks to check them before giving me any coverage. I email followed up, Haily Fulbright never responded. I had to call her; she told me to just keep waiting. I reached out after 2 weeks of not hearing back (which I mentioned being concerned would happen) and she never replied. Won’t bother trying to use liberty for anything and I assure you Haily has no interest in communicating with you.

After my carport collapsed during the recent ice storm, I filed a claim immediately. It has now been weeks, and I have received little to no communication about the status of my claim. I’ve had to repeatedly follow up with my agent every few days just to try to get basic updates, which is incredibly frustrating during an already stressful situation. To make matters worse, the online portal is completely unreliable. Every time I try to view my claim information, the page resets, leaving me with no visibility into what’s happening. Even the chatbot on the portal is useless and provides no meaningful assistance. This experience has been disappointing and exhausting. When you’re dealing with storm damage, the last thing you should have to do is chase your insurance company for answers.

Read all the way to the end before you get too excited. It took me about 10 minutes to set up insurance with Liberty over the phone. He was SO polite and my bill is $18 less than my insurance now! UPDATE: So, Liberty mutual flipped the script on me. They reeled me in and now I'm paying more than I was with the other insurance company.

This is the absolute worst insurance company I have ever encountered! Dealt with them both from their insured hit us and was impossible to get a fair price for our new car that was totaled all the way to StateAuto being bought out by them therefore, holding my homeowners insurance policy. If I could give a negative star, I would! They are completely unresponsive. They just deny everything! They do not care at all about about the truth. They just use bullying tactics to bulldoze over you! I hope they go out of business soon.
