John Morgan Mclachlan Agency Inc

This is one of the most horrible company to deal with especially Karen who never returns phone calls. I worked with her due to the death of my mother to try and get a refund check reissued in my name which she never processed with the Franklin Mutual Insurance Co. I now have a check for a refund which I paid and can’t cash. The check is for $219.76. I tried to bypass Karen A and go directly to FMI but the said the agency has to correct. My advice is to go directly to State Farm insurance and cut this agency out . Bad business and keep away…….

John McLachlan is horrible. He doesn't get back to you. He also doesn't keep up to date on your policy. I found another agency who got me the same policy I had for $800 a year cheaper. I tried for 2 years to get things updated with him. My other agent couldn't even get in touch with anyone at his office. No one answered the phone. When I stopped there in the middle of the day, the door was locked. No receptionist. How do you run an insurance agency with the doors locked. I will NEVER do business with this agency ever again. John doesn't even seem to care when I told him reviews wouldn't be good.

I have had the worst experience with John Mclachlan over the past year. I have been trying to get him to cancel a policy covering a property I sold in March - despite many many emails, the policy was never canceled until it was not renewed. I never got a refund for a policy on a property I did not own. I have been dealing with this company for more than 10 years surprisingly and had always had a good experience, but since John has taken over from Morgan the service and follow up is atrocious. I would NEVER do business with this company or recommend them to anyone. It is sad how this company has gone down in the past year

Never felt better about not using an agent!Got a quote from Karen who proceeded to tell me changing a policy from out of state wasn’t something they could accomplish in a day. Called progressive back and they got me switched over in minutes and saved me 25% over what I was quoted by John Morgan agency! Avoid this miserable pit of doom and remember, even on the worst day of your life, just be glad you don’t have to deal with Karen.

I live in Illinois and my father lives in New Jersey. He has been looking for new home insurance since the one he has now keeps raising the rates. He spoke with John this morning and is very happy with the quote he received; less than half of what he was paying! I'm happy that my father found a very reasonable agency and he's happy.
