Humana Military Healthcare Services

To avoid paying claims Humana will hound you to the ends of the earth with mail, emails and text messages telling you to give them your other insurance information even when you don’t have any other insurance and have no clue what they are talking about. They try to avoid paying unequivocally legitimate claims and they continue to ask multiple times through the mail, emails and texts for your annual dues payment months after you already paid it! Humana is totally incompetent and are by far and away the worst company I have ever dealt with. This sorry company directly reflects the value the U.S. government places on the service of active duty and retired military.

5 Negative stars. I am guessing that the people who work for this organization are trying to do the right thing... But the processes in place result in the consistent use of delay, diffuse and deny tactics which drive negative patient outcomes in the long run. From not certifying providers for months and years in some cases, and not enforcing its own contract rules and enabling providers to directly charge patients beyond the allowed 15% in excess of allowed amounts, to deliberately deflating reimbursement rates, and not tracking patient cap spending, this contractor is simply exploiting service members, their dependents, retirees and their families. And they are doing so, with the implicit approval of DHA/DoD... At the end, those who serve and their families end up losing. Health outcomes

Every referall they give me ends up with a healcare group that doesnt accept the referall. Ive had to call humana back 5 seperate times to change a referall because the clinic they referred me to was either for children, not accepting new patients, was not accepting, tricare, was in the wrong location etc.

She should not be working in a place where she can easily discriminate someone because of their last name or color of skin because of you’re not white she questions if you’re even legal.

AVOID! Completely botched the transition in Texas. Waited a year to render payment to a provider, then sent a check to the wrong address. Customer service unable to resolve the problem.
