Humana - CareSource

Worst insurance company ever. Do not get this insurance you will regret it. All I have gotten are lies from them.

My call with Sylvia today was, by far, the worst customer service call I have had with any company, spanning any industry. I was incorrectly charged a premium for a CareSource plan I cancelled nearly a year ago and no longer have a valid customer account. When I referenced the email CareSource sent me and asked what the invoice was for and how much it equaled, Sylvia became immediately condescending and told me to "just read the invoice, it says it there." I reiterated that I cannot access the invoice to which she replied "Well, it is just your premium. It *equals* whatever that is, understand?" My coverage period with CareSource was fairly uneventful, but this limited interaction with customer service has made sure I will never use them again if at all possible.

I'm a doctor and this is truly the worst insurance company that I have ever dealt with. We bill claims and they don't respond to the claims. If you are a diabetic, they will not pay for many procedures or services for you. Since they don't respond to claims, I had to send state complaints on them for no response but then denying because of timely! I even had the sales rep handling some of the claims, call my office trying to make herself an appointment but changed her appointment at least 10 times. Then called to cancel because she stated that she called her insurance and they stated we didn't take "Aetna Better Health" but she only asked if we took Kentucky Medicaid? So, trying to make trouble for my office because I filed a state complaint on them! And they still haven't resolved the com

If I could rate them with negative stars I would!! DO NOT select Caresource as your insurance provider!! They are horrible!! Paid premium for January as they requested then when I need to use the insurance in January they demand payment for February in order to activate my plan!! It's not even Feb yet and the premium for Feb isn't due until Feb 12th according to THEIR INVOICE. This was never disclosed and here we are with Jan premium paid and ZERO insurance for Jan. I've had to cancel several appointments and can't get important medication for my son or myself due to their incompetent and rude customer service. Today someone transferred me to Humana in order to service my Caresource account - naturally they could not assist. They refuse to refund my money or apply the money I've paid them

Went with another company for 2018. When I canceled this insurance I received my confirmation of cancelation letter and then they charged me for another month. I called and asked why and it was explained to me that they don't deal with billing and I would have to wait a month to get my money back. You are a huge company you should know to not change people for a service you are no longer providing. You were happy to cancel my insurance but not my payment. That's ridiculous that in this day and age your company can get it craps together and I have to wait 30 days for a check in the mail you had no problem just pulling my money out of my account. Terrible company.
