Taking pictures of our kids playing in the back yard. Lucky us we just switched companies after 9 years. They were easily bending us over a barrel spending over $5000 a year for a 1300 square foot house in a neighborhood. Then when we decide to switch, they send out an inspector without informing us. He quietly knocked on the door then ran to the backyard 20 seconds later only to take pictures of my kids playing in the back yard. The only announcement he made to my wife was as he was leaving saying I’m all done with homeowners insurance of America. So glad I’m done with this company.

The worst insurance company I have ever dealt with. They tried to take advantage of our client by paying her less than 50% of what her roof would cost. The independent inspector they sent out was unable to identify the roofing material. The claim is approaching 1 year from the file date and it is still not complete. They decided to identify the roofing material a few weeks ago which turns out to be the material we told them it is. Richard Ellis and his manager Ryan Davis will try and prolong the process even further if you point out their mistakes on the estimate. I asked Ryan Davis if I could speak to his supervisor and he refused. This insurance company is a joke. They have been reported to the Superintendent of Insurance. Hopefully they will be banned from our state. Stay away

Worst insurance company ever. Wanted to cancel our homeowners insurance due to wood rotting on our shed. We just bought this house and the shed is not even attached to the home. I’m not insuring the shed (that we don’t even use), I’m insuring the house. This is ridiculous. Have only had them for 3 weeks and I’m already looking for a different insurance company. No wonder they have bad reviews.

They are a great insurance company when you pay years of premiums (which went up $3000 this year) and never file a claim. Once you file a claim, things change. My house was damaged in Hurricane Beryl and the roof was damaged. They told me only half the roof had damage and they would only fix half of it and surprise, it is under my deductible. So when the other half gets damaged or fails, it will be under the deductible also. I will find a different insurance company and will never use them again, horrible.

We had a claim in 2020 from tropical storm Zaida in Greenville, SC. There were several things that were not repaired by the contractor. We complained to Homeowner’s and asked for someone to come and inspect. They sent someone out but told her that she could only take one picture. We had SEVERAL issues that needed to be addressed. Consequently, here we are 4 years later and those issues were never resolved. I DON’T recommend them AT ALL!!
