This insurance company will have you feeling like you’re about to enter a heavy weight boxing match, and you didn’t prepare. Even with FDA approval for some medications, you will have to jump through hoops. Your eligibility is solely determined by people with less medical knowledge than your doctor who prescribes you medication. They may also elect to stop covering certain medication WITHOUT notifying those on it, leading to surprise financial hardships due to the inability to switch to a covered medication in the appropriate time frame. It really will feel like “I only have insurance so I’m not penalized in taxes” and not “I have insurance because I want to maintain my health.”

I have been dealing with a core muscle injury since right before the birth of my child (who is now 2). I am in daily pain, struggle to play with my daughter or hold her. It’s been devastating. I’ve done countless hours of PT. Nothing is helping. A surgeon requested another MRI as pain is worsening. HNE denied it saying that I needed to do 6 more weeks of PT as it was not documented that I had been doing PT within a 6 week time frame. MRI was requested Sept 17th. Last PT appt was August 8th. I’m in excruciating pain every day, and somehow that’s not enough (on top of ALL the PT) to cover imaging that could provide important information and possible relief. Do better.

HNE had been recommended to me years ago by a friend. I took a chance and it has been the best choice I could have made. I have simply never had any problem with HNE and any time I did have a question I got answers immediately. One complaint, Stop playing that music when I am on hold. lol

If I could give it 0 stars I would. I acquired this insurance Jan 1 2025 and it was my biggest mistake in 30 years. They sent me some sort of card that's suppose to give me extra money for whatever is needed, medicine, groceries or whatever extra is needed but you need to register into your account. I have been trying to register since March, phone calls and emails have gotten me nowhere. I can't wait until the end of the year when I can change insurance. This place needs to be shut down for incompetence

Filed a claim for out of network benefits. Was never informed the claim was denied due to specific reasons I had the ability to fix. Now I am past the period for re-submitting.
