Gold Coast Health Plan

I have emailed, my son's lawyer has faxed and my husband has handed in personally my guardianship papers over the last 10 or more years but they say they don't have them even after speaking to a manager and emailing again on October 1st 2025. I called in November and again the beginning of December and was informed the notes are not there yet! What sort of company runs like this?!

Couldn't get an appointment for 8 weeks after bad fall requiring CT scan at local ER, my insurance plan requires this office to provide appointment 3 to 10 business days depending on severity of injury but when I asked staff if that was true, Dr Marks just turned and walked away. Time to call Goldcoast and file a grievance and ask for new provider who care more about patients and less about Medical Group bottom line.

Do yourself a favor and go out of network or go to another hospital and apply for financial assistance. Gold Coast health plan is the worst Medi-Cal plan I’ve ever been on their customer service is terrible. Their staff are incompetent and they’re terrible with referrals and getting Care approved Gold Coast health plan has failed many Ventura County Medi-Cal members. I’ve had to deal with Medi-Cal a long time for my daughter and they never approve anything we need my daughter is special needs and has autism and they do not take care of her needs and I am forced to go to hospitals far away Because they don’t care. They deny everything. The local doctors suck and there’s not a doctor that’s close to my home.

I’ve had an extremely frustrating experience with Goldcoast customer service. When I reached out for assistance, it feels like they prioritize finding ways to deny support rather than helping their members. I’ve faced lack of clear communication, and an overall dismissive attitude toward my needs. It’s disheartening to feel discriminated against simply because of the type of insurance I have. I hope this company takes member concerns more seriously and reevaluates how they provide customer service and handle claims. People rely on their insurance in times of need, and being met with roadblocks instead of solutions is unacceptable.”

I've never experienced a worse health plan in my entire life. No one cares or bothers to help. The information they do give is always incorrect. And because of their negligence and sheer lack of care, I've been on a wild goose chase just to try and get a simple transfer from counties, because all of the providers in Ventura are too far from where I live. It's impossible to get service or find a decent provider with these people, so don't bother.
