Lack of ownership. Defensive group. Motivated by money and that’s it. Do not accept constructive feedback at all. Go with a larger more established and experienced company. It’s not worth saving $2 to deal with this kind of company.

Awful tried to blame me for my policy coverage Poor professionalism

After my accident, Erie treated me like a friend and a valued customer, not like someone who just smashed their vehicle into pieces. At one point I even told someone that I was surprised they were being so kind to me, and he said that they work for us, and I had never really thought of it that way. They really made me feel like they were working to help me. I was so relieved with the process. The accident and the situation was awful, but every time I talked to someone from Erie, I felt 100x better. Both my local agents (John S. Dunn Agency) and the adjusters were attentive, helpful, and kind to me through the entire process. For a long time was happy with Erie. In the last 2 years, my daughter's car was broken into and stolen in Columbus, Ohio. They did pay for a rental and to have it fixed after it was recovered both times. Great. However, they just notified be that they are not renewing my policy in a month because of that. Something that I had no control over and that was deemed criminal by the police reports. If they don't want to pay insurance for stuff that happens to cars in a city, then don't be an insurance company. People pay monthly for that to be there when some thing happens. For them to drop me or anyone else because of that is pure greed.

I called with a concern and the experience was great. Staff were very personable and also knowledgeable. The situation was taken care of in a timely manner. Carolyn and Andrea were great to work with. I would recommend 💯!!
