Erie is as crooked as they come, and Dreves particularly is only interested in collecting money. Few years ago I had a windstorm in the neighborhood, couple houses in the area had to get roof replacement. I had water pouring through my light fixtures and Erie sends an adjuster out who searched every shingle and found one (on the unaffected, back side of the roof) that the nail wasn't 100% in the glue strip and told me that the 10-15 year old roof wasn't installed properly and they could no longer cover it. So not only did they deny my claim, they threatened to drop my policy because she found a nail that wasn't popped, that wasn't a problem at all, nor was it related to my claim, partially out of the glue strip. Acquiring a rental car was a significant challenge, and ultimately, I was unable to secure one due to cumbersome procedures. Moreover, I was required to pay the deductible upfront, and it took several months and persistent follow-ups to get reimbursed.
