Douglas Torpie: Allstate Insurance

Recently signed on with Allstate for homeowners coverage. So far we’ve had a positive experience with Marco. He answered questions clearly and promptly and followed up.

I've been with Allstate and Doug Torpie for decades. They have been reliable and reachable with responces that I can always rely on. Thank you all.

They are ok but I feel they lack warm handoff and dealing with general concerns skills. I have reached out a few times to the company with questions. I got one person that was good and listened. But for the most part I feel like they are very quick to refer me to the allstate website. Not as hands on with their customer service once you buy the insurance.

We were given a notice of non-renewal after decades of patronage with Allstate auto coverage. A notice was sent in the mail without any communication from this agent. So much for loyalty to a business.

I have been a client of the Doug Torpie Allstate agency since 1991. Allstate dropped us after Hurricane Sandy, but renewed a few years back. Until recently I never questioned my Allstate, auto, homeowner, umbrella policies with them. Over the past 2 years, DJ has taken over my account. He was constantly snippy and condescending. When I asked for Doug, he was "never in the office" although I have left messages for him. I always got DJ on the phone. He is NOT what you want to handle customers. I gave him several opportunities to be a bit more understanding of my questions, but his tone and answers were curt, I had to remind him that I am the customer. I tried to change to a local Allstate office, however they cannot (by corporate policy) switch brokers. I called my local State Farm agent, ga
