Colonial Life - Insurance

Beware!!! They use the 'pre existing condition' to avoid paying coverage benefits. 1 star is too much, but I can't give them a negative ten, which is what they deserve. If you're looking for a company that will actually honor the coverage you're paying for when you need it, please do yourself a favor a shop other companies.

Was quoted an amount and then it changed....This Company will do a policy over the phone but they request a cancellation to be in writing...DECEPTION at the worst...Commercials are fake....nobody gets the $9.95 deal unless you are 12....Such a bad dishonest company. Hope they get caught in this Scam...also...calls mainly go offshore...run fast an far....SO GLAD I AM AWAY FROM SUCH A TERRIBLE SITUATION....PLEASE CHECK YOUR DATA CLOSELY...YOU WIIL REALIZE THAT YOU HAVE BEEN COMPLETELY MISLEAD....FINS AN HONEST AGENT THAT ACTUALLY HELP YOU MAKE AN EDUCATED CHOICE...

Subpar. Consistently takes in overpriced premiums and tries to make it as difficult as possible when it's time to actually use the policy that your paying for. My employer has since discontinued services with colonial because of poor customer service, not paying off claims and overwhelming complaints. I wish that I had read the reviews prior to me signing up. I've been with other supplemental insurance companies and never have I experienced the trumped up roadblocks to deter claims. There's way to may other companies without the hassle example, we are now with afflac! No hassle no problem. I refuse to be another victim/pimped with my own money. Mark your calendars! Cancel your polices first chance you get and move on to a accommodating company that works WITH and FOR YOU! AND for less. YO

It’s very sad our company moved from AFLAC to this company, AFLAC actually pays you in 2 weeks or 3 the max , with this company I been out of work since Nov 11 and still waiting, then this are the worst months of the year to be without an income, definitely going to cancel this insurance when I go back to work, because this is way too difficult when it comes to a claim . Edited my review because they did paid me , took time and for continuing disability took more than with our previous company, but they deserve a better rate now.

They are tricking people.... People thinking they are going to get insurance for 9.95 per month... That's bull... You are only going to get that rate if you are a child... Insurance is based on age and health... When they are talking about $9.95... it is $9.95 cents per unit... Please stop tricking folks Colonial Penn.
