As Trustee Chair of Emmanuel Baptist Church for the past 10 years, I have experienced more than a few vendors in various areas and industries and a vast array of customer service levels and commitment. Our experience with Church Mutual Insurance and Kevin Crater has been exemplary in virtually every way. Kevin is not only very knowable in his field, but he is very responsive when we need help, and although I do not have to call on that pool of knowledge very often, when I do contact Kevin, I have a specific reason that usually involves requests from other church officers or our pastor (or both), and these requests are time sensitive. I wish that I could have a positive review like the other ones I read here, but this was not our experience. we were quoted a rate and then when we accepted the quote the rate was changed, they would not honor that rate quoted. there was absolutely no difference in our information. It was a complete switch and bait. We are a nonprofit organization and we were treated terribly. We do not recommend this company.

Our church has been with Church Mutual for 3 years now after transitioning from another insurance company. It was a smooth transition and everyone was very helpful. Not going to lie, this company is like any other company with some delays in their services. We have a large group policy with many moving parts since we have over 70 insured church locations nationwide, Mexico, Italy plus International travel throughout the world. Each location has it's own unique premium needs. It's a big task and they do a good job getting all this coverage compiled annually. We feel that we are receiving the necessary coverage at a price that is competitive. Being fully insured brings peace of mind to our Board of Directors and allows the organization to focus on fulfilling our mission.
