Great service from Emily, the office manager, in helping with my accident claim from late January. Her expertise, patience, and good sense of humor have maked a challenging time as pleasant as possible. She always follows up quickly to all my inquiries. I've also appreciated her advice and suggestions for future coverage, and she put me in touch with a claims representative while I was at the accident scene, which was efficient and helped to make me as comfortable as possible while I waited in my car for a tow truck. Chris Doughty is fortunate that Emily is on the team, and I highly recommend this agency!

I would sincerely recommend considering a different State Farm agent in the area—or perhaps exploring other insurance providers altogether. I have been with State Farm over 10 years but just recently with Chris and his team. I heard of a local Maine car insurance company whom is wonderful to work with by both the insured and mechanics. In my experience, Chris and his team has been unusually difficult to work with. Communication is inconsistent, billing errors go unaddressed, and requests are often overlooked despite being clearly stated multiple times. It’s disappointing to encounter such a lack of follow-through from a company with State Farm’s reputation.

Chris is the best! I’ve been with him for 15 years now and he is always responsive to questions, life changes, and updates. He and his team have always been there to troubleshoot anything that comes up or even if I am just curious about rates. If you’re questioning who to use, with the Doughty team - it’s a no brainer.

I had homeowners insurance with this location. I recieved a call and email from Emily that an inspection technician took pics of my roof and had some concerns. She admitted that she saw the pictures, didn't see anything wrong but she would ask corporate for more details and clarity. In the meantime I forwarded my comprehensive inspection I had performed on the house and the reports listed the roof in complete and average condition to Emily and Chris. I also had a contractor look at the roof stand said the roof is on okay condition and there is no reasons for concern and it is safe. I had 2 professionals stating roof is okay but state farms inspector who showed up in basketball shorts, a graphic tee, and no identifying factors or badge to show he had business in my back yard taking pic

I purchased auto insurance from this branch of State Farm in December for a 6 month period; they gave me a quote for the 6 months, sent me a bill as part of a "binder" (binding contract, at least for me, apparently), I paid the total amount for the 6 months in full, and received a statement with a $0 balance. Then, a month later, I was surprised and dismayed to receive yet another bill!- apparently, although it was a binding contract for me, this company is allowed to just decide to change the terms of our contract and charge me more money AFTER we have made an agreement, I have paid the full balance, and I have been given a zero balance on a billing statement.
