Allstate was completely mishandling my claim and not listening to me. I thought a customer of 42 years could call his agent and ask for help. I did on three different occasions and was told that things were straightened out, when the next thing I knew my rental car was out of days because of the mess that was made in the beginning of my claim. I was told I was going to have to start paying out-of-pocket even though Allstates delays cost me 12 days total rental. I was getting nowhere and called my local agent again for help, once first thing in the morning then around noon time, then in the afternoon. They go above and beyond to keep me in good hands! Update 1 Year later, a car hit me in NYC and I had no damage, but the company blamed me and my rate doubled... That was a year ago. Lesson is that you need to worry about other people driving not always yourself!

Pretty good service until you leave them. What I noticed with Allstate (Gomez Insurance) is they gave me a good teaser rate for the 1st year. Subsequently every year my policy went up (2nd & 3rd years weren't that bad) so I decided to stay with them. 4th year was a sizable increase (still stayed with them) 5th year escalation was so enormous that I decided to shop around. Within an hour search I found another company that was $330.00 less a year (same coverage) How come is it that my automobile get's older, yet my rate keeps climbing? Here's the kicker. Once I decided to pull the trigger & leave Gomez Insurance, I received a bill for $25.00 in the mail. For what? I already paid my former policy in full.
