Way way overpriced E&O insurance for professionals. Go with NEXT Insurance, literally half the price for the same coverage limits. They are ripping off hard working independent professionals.

The young lady Alma, I spoke with today was not pleasant at all. It was clear she did not want to be at work or assist me. Very vague, I had to pull answers out her; she didn’t ask any probing questions.i was trying to understand the policy before i made my selection, and she told me “I can’t sit here on the phone and compare the levels” because she didn’t know what specimen I was sent. Very frustrating experience. This is the second person I’ve spoken with that clearly did not want to be there or assist customers. Unfortunately, the young lady that helped me a week or so ago was not available, she was slightly more pleasant and helpful. I have been with Calsurance for well over a decade. 4 or 5 times a year they say my payment doesn't go through when money is in my account. My renewal was for July 1, my money was in my account, I received an email saying my payment didn't go through and to renew I had to pay the annual cost in 10 business days. I called my bank and they said everything was fine, it was on their end. I went online purchased E&O through another company at the same cost. My problem is solved and Calsurance lost a long time customer. Threatening people when it's your archaic payment system being the problem obviously isn't good for business.

If you're looking for E&O insurance look elsewhere. They will raise their rates without warning. I was paying 720 a year and now it's been boosted to 1020 per year. When I called, I was told it was a 7% increase. I also said that I would be looking elsewhere for coverage and the customer service rep told me they'd email me a cancelation form, so much for caring about their customers.
