Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Mississippi, A Mutual Insurance Company

Just filed a complaint against BCBS with the Mississippi Department of Insurance. It probably won't do any good, but it will make me feel better. I've been suffering with severe eczema after taking the COVID shot. Dupixent is the only thing that helps. BCBS has repeatedly refused to approve the PA for the Dupixent. I'm presently having to beg for samples and try to get on a special program to cover the Dupixent just to avoid another flare up. All because BCBS won't do what they are being paid to do.

They denied my diabetes medication. And I need this to live. Smh. They don’t care about patients and we all need to sue their pants off. We pay premiums on time. They owe us coverage.

Absolutely the WORST insurance I have ever dealt with! Unfortunately, this is the only insurance my husband's job will offer so I don't have much of a choice while I'm going to school. We have been stuck with them for 5 years now and I have tried being patient. I get chronic migraines and it has been the worst experience getting them to cover anything. My doctor sent in the list of at least 10 medications I have tried (preventative and abortive), they will approve something one time and then deny it the next time! They wont even tell me what prevention they will cover. I completely understand that there are stipulations they have to follow but there is ZERO customer service! They will not advocate for you at all or even reach out to the dr. Office as to what is needed for the medication to

Horrible customer service. Horrible pre auth process. They will not release info to my doctor in order to appeal. Dishonest to their core.

They have answered my questions and they have let me know what I can or can not get covered. BCBS have covered most of my needs. Some I question to be honest. I like that they are involved in preventative care as well. The customer service people are nice and helpful and that means a great deal to me.
