She made a stressful situation easy by explaining each step, ensuring no gap in my coverage, and responding promptly (often within an hour). When I later called to confirm no additional payment would be drafted, she was patient, thorough, and reassuring. Exceptional service and genuine care—thank you, Bernadette!
Avoid Benefit Management Administrators, San Antonio TX This has been a complete nightmare. I elected COBRA after my Cigna policy ended on June 30, 2025, and from day one it has been nothing but issues. Mercy told me she would confirm my elections and let me know that my application was processed BEFORE processing my ACH payment, but she never followed up. The money was just taken from my account with no explanation. Same story with Bernadette. She said she personally spoke to Cigna and that everything was resolved. When I asked if my prescription coverage was also updated, she said, “Oh yeah, I didn’t think about that.” Not reassuring. Cigna still shows my policy as inactive after two months of payments. Appointments delayed, prescriptions denied, zero accountability. I honestly don’t
First of all let me just say that the two months my family spent on Cobra were a lot to handle. The employer and our insurance company were not on the same page on multiple occasions creating chaos for our medically dependent household. Bernadette was a god send. On multiple occasions she played the middleman, set on hold with the insurance company I'm sure a dozen times and was our back and forth person between the company. I don't pretend to know a lot of insurance lingo and this was the first time my family had ever had a cobra policy and it was definitely over my head. Bernadette was always there in a pinch. I even had to call her while I was at the doctor one day over a canceled policy mixup (BCBS fault) and she had the problem fixed before I walked out. Insurance is absolutely ridicu
This has to be one of the worst experiences. I have had. Bernadette is rude and unresponsive and is sadly a supervisor. Lisa was nice and tried to be helpful but could only help so much. Do better. Update to response !! No ma’am. Don’t try it. Rude as can be and many many failed attempts to get in touch. After I finally called a rep with bcbs and they got involved was I able to find out the problem and fix it myself with a simple call to my old HR. YOU were the problem !
I had BMA with my previous employer and they did everything they could to resolve any issue that I had. They were always courteous and efficient. They were the best insurance that we had and it was disappointing when we had to switch our insurance because my company was restructured. Top notch every time that I dealt with them, even for older claims resolution.
