I would like to say that my recent experience with Auto-Owners Insurance, specifically Benny Nixon my claims representative/adjuster, has exceeded expectations. Integrity, honesty, and follow through are long forgotten traits for many of us older folks. I recently made a claim regarding our roof due to suspected hail damage. Benny was very timely in reaching out after my initial inquiry. Within a day of the inspection, I received a phone call from Benny, telling me the roof had been approved for replacement, my wife and I were elated! Unprofessional and unresponsive. Stone Crest (adjusting for Auto-Owners) has a major communication problem. I’ve tried contacting management several times to help move my claim forward, but they ignore every email and call. If you’re looking for an adjuster that actually cares or responds, look elsewhere. My claim was finished over 3 months ago, but adjuster has not finished back end paper and now I am being dropped from my insurance due to their negligence.

Pleasant experience - if filing an insurance claim can be pleasant. The adjuster came quickly to assess the damage and gave a very fair estimate for the damage. Then he was very patient when we had to find another contractor after the first one kept putting the start date off. Finally payment was received as soon as contract from contractor and all receipts and invoices were turned in.
