I am going to one star every single Blue Cross Blue Shield building in America today because I called a year ago about quotes for pricing about health insurance. NEVER actually got health insurance through BCBS but yet they sold my number out to the point 99% of incoming calls to my number were spam calls and then following up a year later I have a $2,700 bill in the mail. That is illegal and it makes sense all of your phone numbers don’t work nor will let me speak to customer service. ONLY focused on NEW inquiries which is diabolical. Worst insurance company in America.
There are many issues with healthcare coverage providers across the country but Anthem stands head and shoulders above the rest when it comes to unprofessional, uncaring customer service employees who read from a script and have virtually no knowledge of how to do their jobs. I was on the phone for 3 hours, hung up on 4x and placed on hold for 45 minutes. Called multiple times over 2 months to ask that my bill be mailed to me and each time I was assured it would be mailed and the problem had been addressed. Three months later I still haven’t seen a bill! There is no effective resolution or any consumer redress for any issue customers experience and the general attitude of the company seems to be “oh well deal with it”. If you can go with any other provider I definitely would!
I'm a kidney transplant patient. This insurance carrier is horrible! This year, every 2 months, for some reason, my insurance stops working and tells me i have no plan. Which is EXTREMELY false! Each time this happens my boss reaches out multiple times, I've emailed, then they take their sweet time fixing it! They keep me from dr appointments and refilling my transplant medications!! I've never dealt with such an unprofessional company in my life!
Raised our premiums about 40% for the renewal period for the same silver plan. Disgusting. Cancelled immediately and found a much better local provider. Not even joking I’m paying $700 less PER MONTH for better service with my new provider
I am a new client who signed up via Healthcare.gov. The onboarding was terrible, I called customer services at least 8 times during the process. I have a double billing issue (still not resolved). Every time I call customer service it's as if I never called before, no tracking of issues, no documentation. Avoid this insurer.
