Amica Mutual Insurance Company

I wonder if anyone giving 5 stars has ever shopped their insurance? I shop yearly and added Amica in the mix. Even with a multi policy discount, perfect driving record, 54 years old, no claims, no tickets in more years than I can count, the rate quoted was literally THREE TIMES what I pay. Shameful

My husband and I have had Amica for almost 15 years. In that time I’ve had two car accidents and two cracked windshields. Every time the customer service is beyond amazing and everyone is so helpful. I’m always recommending Amica because there prices can’t be beat.

I've had Amica for several years, always one of the best customer services and cheapest rates. Recently before my renewal I got notice that my house would be renewed at doubling of premium (2k extra! Yikes!) And my replacement cost for my house went up by 250k. I called immediately and talked to several agents who were very rude and unhelpful and couldn't explain the rate hike other than "we raised the rates across the board 10-20%", which still didn't make sense since that doesn't equal a doubling in rates. I finally looked elsewhere and right away my quote was lower by 1k. Then I still kept seeing the overblown replacement cost and had this new company go line by line on what was deemed part of my house . Turns out my house had according to them, and possibly Amica who I suspect provided

Where on earth they got 5 stars on customer satisfaction? I call for a homeowner insurance quote and the woman was negative on the phone, wanted me to put new pipes on my home lol I called the Hartford insurance company was so nice and gave me a policy no problem,

Hard to imagine how this company can have good reviews. I went to their website, spent the time to enter all info for both home and auto quotes, then received quotes online and via email. When I called to initiate, I was told that they could not write a policy since I am close to the water. I asked, "then why does your website take my address and issue a quote?" Their answer, "the website cannot assess your distance from the water by your address". Apparently, they should spend some of their profit and hire a competent company to build an efficient website. Very frustrated at the time wasted with this company.
