I had a life insurance policy on my daughter that has been paid up for over 20 years. I decided to cash it in as she was now 40+ years of age. When I called to cash it in I was told I would have a check in 30 days. A month went by and NO check! So, I called. I was told it takes 30 BUSINESS days…..really…..to write a check? So, I called after 30 business days! I was told “Ohhhh they’re working on it!” So, after 40 BUSINESS DAYS I call again! The guy tells me the check is signed and ready to be mailed! All this time they have ecrued interest on my money! Interest that I won’t receive but interest that the company keeps! This company is a rip off! My suggestion would be to do your research and stay away from Ameritas!
