Amalgamated Casualty Insurance

My vehicle was parked in the parking lot at my work, I was inside the building working, I wasn't even in my vehicle. A cabbie lost control of his vehicle and crashed into my vehicle and 3 of my co-workers, totaling all four vehicles. It has been over two months and none of us has received any settlement money nor are we getting any help with rental cars. The adjuster expects us to pay for Uber rides everywhere with our own money and then get reimbursed at a later date. They claimed a settlement check would be mailed out on a Monday, 4 weeks later I have still not received my check.

Worst Auto Insurance company in Metropolitan Area. About 10 days ago I was hitted by an 18 wheeler trailer truck and other driver got a ticket too. When I contacted to Amalgamted insurance company then one agent forwarded my call to an other person Mr.Lamont who even gave me claim number too but never ever helped me to proceed to complete my claim. I left a voice message which he never responded. Then I went to their office located in Chevy Chase Maryland. Same situation was in their office too because 1 man asked me to see another girl in the office who wasted my 15 more minutes. After that she sent to me another person who was Mr.Lamont. He told me a different story that if in this accident if you were @ fault then I was gonna help you but u are not at fault so u gotta contact a differen

I got hit by a cab driver who was insured through Amalgamated and had coverage at the time of the accident in November 2016. Amalgamated denied my claim outright because they were unable to get a hold of the cab driver. I've requested a call with a claims manager, to discuss further, and thus far, I've received no response. This is a portion of the Amalgamated letter for the denial of my claim: ...the individual you alleged was involved in this accident has failed to provide the required notice of the accident, which is a material breach of the policy provision. Therefore, we shall disclaim coverage for this accident.

Great Company to work with! Everyone is super nice & polite. They bend over backwards to make you happy & keep you that way! Kudos to Amalgamated Insurance Co & their employees for going above & beyond!

Like many of the others, I was hit by one of the companies insured cabbies. The cabbie failed to yield right of way (stop sign) and hit me in the left lane of a four lane road. They used the fact that I swerved into the turn lane to try to avoid the cabbie as the reason to try to steal 40% of the deductible they owe me. Very unethical.
