A year ago, I purchased marine insurance from Allen, then I felt I needed a more competitive Homeowners. I went with them again. I bundled auto insurance. When the dust cleared, I had saved a significant amount. But that is not what this review is really about. It is about the service. Meesha was right on top of everything. Withing a short time, everything was determined and signed. I intend to work with Allen for a long time, and count myself lucky.

I contacted Allen Agency to obtain a competitive quote, and Meesha Luce, the agent I spoke with, was knowledgeable and thorough while obtaining the information she needed for an accurate quote. She responded quickly, but candidly and apologetically admitted that she could not offer a better policy than I already had, yet she then spent nearly an hour discussing my policies, offering suggestions, and even tracked down and emailed specific policy documents for me. Although I was happy to find I already had the best value available, I was sorry I wouldn’t be able to continue my business relationship with Meesha and Allen Agency.

So happy that I called them to quote me on auto & homeowners insurance! I had stayed with the same company for years thinking that I was getting the best price. Allen Insurance & Financial was able to save me over $900 per year with just a simple phone call! The staff is extremely polite, professional, and accommodating. They went out of their way to find me the best price and discounts that were available to me. My only regret...I wished I had called sooner!

The agents I've encountered have very poor follow through and lack basic professionalism. It takes multiple phone calls and emails just to get a reply that you'll have to wait for a quote/answer of any sort. It's a small area. They can't be that busy; but maybe they know your options are limited so they don't try that hard. I was working with one agent for two years (homeowner's insurance referred by my real estate broker). When it came time for renewal, we agreed it would be good to review my auto insurance (that I have with another agency) and try to bundle them for better coverage and overall savings. Recently I decided to shop around a little on all of our insurances. I spoke with Meesha at Allen Agency in Rockland. She was very friendly, communicated well, and was very prompt. The quote that came back showed that I had needed to shop around as we were able to save a fair amount of money every year. The follow up after the sale was great, with various folks checking to be sure we had a good experience. Meesha was also very helpful after ewe had to go back and work through a few things with the homeowners policy. I definitely recommended giving The Allen Agency a try. I had a great experience, saved money, and felt that is was treated very well.
