Acuity Insurance

Will update stars when I hear anything back from this company. Claim filed against one of their insured mechanics who botched the timing job on my only car. They sent an inspector out to examine my car over a month ago (took photos, tested battery, had me try to start the vehicle—no luck). I keep emailing my claim rep and all I get is that they are “determining liability”. Otherwise, no responses to my weekly requests for the policy number or an update on the claim. I am an insurance agent with SF. This is not acceptable at my company.

WHOMEVER ACTUALLY READS THIS Terrible company to do business with, they hide language in their documents about cancellations, yes which of course are signed by every unsuspecting person. But I have never had cancellation fees with any other insurance company I have ever dealt with. So when I received a cancellation collection letter in the mail I was shocked. Now, because I own a business, I know that the responses to these reviews are not from a real person they are done by their SEO software. With that being said I hope that whomever actually reads these within your company sees this and acknowledges how shady this is. I would recommend Acuity to everyone! We have been clients for almost 10 years and have always had exceptional customer service. Very fair and professional with extremely easy online claims as well as having a real person assigned to the claim! The Whole process from my first online start of the claim to being sent the repair money was only a couple of days!! Amazing!!

Often I don’t write reviews, but this one is for people who work hard for a living and pay for what’s right who want insurance at an affordable price for their coverage needs. This year when my renewal came up, I was shocked and dumbfounded to see my home, auto, and umbrella polices went up over $800 from last year and with no surprise, there was no explanation from Acuity. It’s very disappointing as I’ve been with Acuity for over 3 years as I’ve filed no claims, have a clean record, have an excellent credit rating, and filed no complaints with the company. I’ve done some shopping around and moved on to a different insurance carrier who took the time to listen to my concerns and treated me with respect, unlike Acuity.
