My husband and I have worked with Casey Fries as our Homeowner's Insurance Agent for the last few years now and he has been an incredible asset for our family. He has helped us save money and has taken very intentional time to research and compare costs to save us as much money as possible. He always has our family's best interest in mind and is easy to communicate with. This company is usually very responsive and helpful, but recently we had to move our policy due to a large discount for bundling elsewhere. The agent who was supposed to handle our cancellation at 1st Capital forgot to send in the cancellation request. After two weeks my mortgage company called and said that there are two active policies and asked what to do. I then contacted 1st Capital and was told by the agent it got sent in a little bit late but I should receive our check for escrow shortly. This was ,unfortunately, not true as I had just verified with the carrier that the policy had never been cancelled. I needed a business liability policy in order to get a license for a company that is part of a niche industry and was difficult to get a policy written for. I spent over a month trying to find an agent that could find me a quote. I called agents all over SC and no one could even get me a quote either because they lacked the resources or the willingness to help.
